  • Chartered Institute of Housing

  • Government Statistical Service

    The Government Statistical Service (GSS) is a decentralised professional community spread across most UK government departments and devolved administrations. Headed by the National Statistician, the GSS produces National Statistics and other official statistics, analysis, interpretation and provides statistical advice to improve understanding and help decision-making.

  • Regulator of Social Housing (RSH)

    The Regulator of Social Housing is a non-departmental public body that regulates private registered providers of social housing to promote a viable, efficient and well-governed social housing sector able to deliver homes that meet a range of needs.

    RSH undertakes economic regulation of providers of social housing registered with us, focusing on governance, financial viability and value for money that maintains lender confidence and protects the taxpayer. We also set consumer standards and may take action if these standards are breached and there is a significant risk of serious detriment to tenants or potential tenants. From April 2024, we are introducing a new integrated regulatory approach, with proactive regulation of the consumer standards.

  • Inside Housing

    Inside Housing is the CIH’s magazine serving the social housing sector. Its readers work in housing associations, local authorities, charities, developers and suppliers with around 26,000 copies distributed each week. The magazine offers up to the minute news and is a well utilised forum for debate in the sector as well as a key source of public sector housing vacancies.The publication also run a series of highly regarded specialist supplements, and jointly organises the prestigious UK Housing Awards.
