We are delighted to announce the appointment of a new Senior Data Analyst, continuing our expansion across the housing sector.
Joe Vanaman joins Acuity, bringing almost a decade of data skills, from Acis Group, where he worked across all areas of data performance for the social housing provider and its subsidiaries.
Looking forward to his new role, Joe said: “We have a considerable opportunity to help clients understand their data in more detail. Data isn’t anywhere near as useful without knowing the external context, how the wider sector is performing, and your client’s profile in-depth.
“I’m excited to help clients with all of those things, as well as to encourage the sharing of best practices. What matters most, though, is residents and how we can help clients improve things for them, all while ensuring clients can meet and exceed the requirements of the TSMs, alongside their own operational goals.”
With a degree in economics, secured during a golf scholarship in Massachusetts, Joe chose to pursue his career away from the sport and joined national automotive retailer Pendragon. Here he completed his Level 4 in Analytics during an apprenticeship after which he took up a permanent role for four years.
He says: “Despite having a slightly dry reputation, data can be an extremely rewarding area of work. I’m excited to be joining Acuity at this time of growth and in light of the new regulations in the sector.
“One of the things I’ll be looking at first is incorporating our vast amounts of data into benchmarking services for clients, letting them see how they are performing in the sector, but also alongside those of a similar customer profile or geographical area. The data alone means very little, so helping clients with that context and what to do with that insight is key.”
Joe joins Acuity at a pivotal time in our growth, with increasing numbers of clients requesting our research and benchmarking services. We are also integrating new systems and technologies to constantly improve services. The use of AI tools will form part of this development, something Joe is keen to embrace, agreeing that, used in the right way, AI will speed up manual processes, and enhance services further.
Denise Raine, Director at Acuity, added: “The team at Acuity are delighted to welcome Joe, who will strengthen our provision of benchmarking and insight services for our existing and prospective clients. Joe’s recruitment, alongside other recent and further planned appointments, reflects the growth in demand for our specialist knowledge and services, and we’re excited to work with new colleagues and clients in 2025 and beyond.”
We are thrilled to welcome Joe to our team and look forward to all the exciting improvements ahead for our insight services. Have a question or want to introduce yourself to Joe? Feel free to connect on LinkedIn.
