Our Team

Alongside our core team of enthusiastic and experienced professionals, we collaborate with a broad network of associates. This gives us the flexibility to tailor teams or packages that align with the evolving needs of our clients and the specific requirements of each project. 

Denise Raine

Director & Head of Research
With over 30 years of market research experience in the social housing sector, Denise heads up satisfaction and research - advising on survey design, sampling, project management, reporting and presentations, either for her clients or supporting our other client managers. Denise also leads on tenders and sector knowledge.
Loves walking, travelling and wild swimming - in the UK and France!

Alison White

Director
Alison has worked in market research for 20 years and is a full member of the market research society. She joined Acuity in early 2020 and works alongside Denise to head up the satisfaction and research team. Alongside project management, Alison is currently working hard on transferring all projects to our exciting new platform Forsta.
Sometimes found in exotic places (not enough she says!), and partial to Karaoke

Colin Slocombe

Operations Director
Colin joined Acuity in June 2022 and as Operations Director is responsible for some key business areas. Colin has over 20 years of experience in undertaking research activities for a variety of clientele including the social housing sector. He has overall directorship of our CATI telephone team and ensures the quality and timeliness of 250+ projects.
Enjoys playing golf and taking part in the occasional park run

Adam Jewitt

Client Manager
Adam has over 10 years of experience in commercial research and behavioural psychology across several sectors, including retail, elite sport, hospitality, telecommunications and social housing. He joined Acuity in April 2023 from Acis Group, where he led the research function. Adam assists Denise in client management and project delivery.

Peter Stephenson

Head of Data & Analytics
Peter has worked in data and research for the past 20 years across several sectors. He joined Acuity in August 2023 from Karbon Homes, where he led on all internal research, including a wide-ranging customer satisfaction framework. He is currently working on the migration of all surveys over to our new platform Forsta.
Loves all sports and currently teaching his kids how to cycle

Sean Brennan

Head of Benchmarking & Client Services
Sean joined Acuity in October 2024, following six years working for a housing association in the East Midlands, where he led on customer satisfaction, research and insight and partnerships. Prior to this, Sean worked across the local government sector for eleven years, joining via the national graduate development programme in 2008. Sean holds degrees in History and Local Government Management.
Loves animals - has 5 rescue cats and 5 hedgehogs! Still maintains going to the library is cool

Jason Thompson

Research Manager
Jason has been with Acuity since June 2021. With an MSc in Forensic Psychology and a BSc in Psychology, Jason seamlessly applies his academic background to our work. He coordinates CATI projects, manages report writing, conducts high-level analysis, and provides support across all areas of our business. Additionally, Jason leads our quarterly client briefing with Denise.
Enjoys camping and dog walks – with any dog he can borrow!

Hannah Kew

Research Manager
With over 15 years of experience in market research, Hannah has been project-managing surveys for clients in the social housing sector over the last five years. Hannah joined Acuity in 2024 and will be happy to assist with any enquiry should Denise not be available.
Has a passion for musical theatre, Disney and baking

Pete Lomax

Senior Researcher
Pete has worked for different local authorities and housing associations, principally in the South West, as well as for Housemark. He has been working with Denise for over twenty years and is one of our highly experienced report writers. Additionally, Pete runs training sessions and delivers presentations feeding back survey results to staff, senior management and boards.  
Keen sportsman and Liverpool FC fan, who loves spending time with family

Beth Leathley

Research & Marketing Executive
Beth joined the Acuity team in June 2022. Since completing her MA in Public History, Beth has worked in several research and engagement positions involving content creation, project coordination and high-level independent research. Beth leads on Acuity’s visual outputs and contributes to a variety of other business areas, including report writing.

Joe Vanaman

Senior Research Executive/Analyst
Joe graduated with a major degree in Economics and a minor degree in Mathematics before completing an Apprenticeship in Data Analysis. Joe previously worked as a Data Analyst at a Nationwide vehicle franchise company and then as a Data Performance Manager at an East Midlands-based Social Housing Association. Joe Joined Acuity in January 2025 to assist with analysing client data and report writing.
Collects music and films, and enjoys going to the cinema and live gigs

Heather Metivier

Project Administrator
Heather has worked for Acuity as a Project Co-ordinator for over ten years and prides herself on customer service excellence. Heather leads on project contracts, covering letters, mix-mode surveys and postal fieldwork.
Loves her dogs – has 8 in total!

Lesley Vuskans

Business Support Officer
Lesley has worked within the social housing sector for over 20 years specialising in resident involvement and community development. Lesley started working for Acuity over 5 years ago as a part time telephone interviewer but soon moved into her full time Business Support Officer role applying her considerable housing background to cover a wide variety of business areas. Her main responsibility is the facilitation and support of our fantastic Benchmarking Service.
A passionate gardener and loves baking!

Leo Vasilevskaja

Data Executive
Since completing their BSc in Astrophysics, Leo worked in engineering before joining Acuity in November 2023. Leo uses their technical expertise and analytical skills to script surveys, handle data and present results.

Adam Williams

Data Executive
Adam joined the Acuity team in March 2022 as a telephone interviewer. After excelling in that role, Adam transitioned to a Data Executive, where he processes data, builds and manages dashboards for clients, and ensures their ongoing maintenance and updates.
Loves camping and travelling with family, as well as classic cars and motorsports

Louis Salter

Research Assistant
Louis joined Acuity in May 2024 after completing his post-graduate course in Policing and Criminal Investigation at Liverpool John Moores University. Louis's role includes designing dashboards for clients, scripting surveys on the new system, running results, responding to client emails and queries, as well as working with the Benchmarking Team.
Enjoys sports, music and going to the cinema weekly

Ben Dewar

Research Assistant
Ben joined Acuity as a research assistant in January 2023 after completing an MSc in Psychology. Contributing to multiple areas of the business, Ben is involved in report writing, survey set-ups, client briefings and dashboards.

Josh Leggett

Research Executive
Josh joined the Acuity team in May 2024. Since completing his BSc in Psychology, Josh has worked in several research positions involving high-level independent research and report writing. Josh's role for Acuity consists of report writing and building data platforms for clients.

Sally Astill

CATI Team Leader
Sally joined Acuity in 2020 as a telephone researcher. As the company has grown, Sally progressed to become a Supervisor and more recently a Team Leader for the CATI interviewing and coding team. Sally supports the team to deliver the best possible service to our clients.
Enjoys dog walks and spending time as a family

Carla Budd

CATI Team Leader
Carla joined Acuity in 2018 as a telephone interviewer and became a Team Leader in 2020, supporting the CATI interviewing team. Carla also leads the recruitment and training of our telephone interviewers.
Loves dogs, the countryside and spending time with friends and family

Laura Crocker

CATI Team Leader
Laura joined as a telephone interviewer in 2021, before progressing to become a Team Leader in 2023. Laura works closely with our other Team Leaders and Operations Director to manage and lead the telephone interviewers.
Loves dogs, horses and being outdoors

Karen Chester

CATI Supervisor
Karen worked as an interviewer from 2017 until taking the new role of CATI supervisor in 2023, supporting the interviewing team.
Enjoys long dog walks, baking and spending time in the garden

Quality Assurance

We are determined to maintain the highest standards in all the work that we undertake, and to this end, we use our own, rigorous quality approach. Every project phase incorporates an element of Quality Assurance, and the Project Director takes responsibility for ensuring that all work is reviewed against the relevant QA standard.
