Introducing Our New Head of Benchmarking and Client Services

We are delighted to announce the appointment of Sean Brennan as our new Head of Benchmarking and Client Services.

Sean brings over 17 years of experience in housing, local government, and service diversification, with his most recent role at Midlands-based housing provider, Acis Group, as Partnerships and Contracts Manager.

Previously, Sean spent 11 years in local government, managing major housing development and regeneration projects in Lincolnshire.

On joining Acuity, Sean said: “It feels like a natural step for me to join the team at Acuity, as I have worked closely with the team here on insight and research in my previous role.

“I’m really looking forward to further strengthening and expanding Acuity’s benchmarking services by listening closely to our existing customers and expanding our reach with new clients.”

Our Director, Denise Raine, added: “We’re very excited to welcome Sean to the Acuity team, who will work closely with our clients to provide the valuable benchmarking and insight services clients trust us with. We know it is a pivotal moment in the sector across the UK at the moment, so we hope that our research and support, as well as Sean’s leadership, will play an important part in developing housing across the country.”

Sean has previously had roles as a tenant board member, charity trustee, and regional chair for the National Housing Federation, which will provide vital perspective on both customer and organisational needs.

Aside from leveraging insight for our clients, Sean also sees significant opportunities in using emerging technology, including artificial intelligence (AI), to support residents and housing professionals alike.

“The chance to implement AI for sector-changing benefits is hugely exciting. Having seen so many changes across the sector throughout my career, I understand the transformative potential of technology in our industry, and the developments with AI have the chance to really step things up another level.”

Sean has jumped straight into his new role, attending several of our Benchmarking Clubs meetings and beginning to connect with our fantastic community of members.

In the photograph to the right, you can catch a glimpse of Sean in action (writing away) at the October Housing for Older People gathering.

We are thrilled to welcome Sean to our team and look forward to all the exciting improvements ahead for our benchmarking services. Have a question or want to introduce yourself to Sean? Feel free to connect on LinkedIn – we know he would love to hear from you!
